Advice on XKR

Featured Replies

Good morning, I had a check conducted on my car and its been identified that the

Lower Suspension Joint Arm Dust cover , the Track Rod End Dust Cover and Anti Roll Bar Dust Cover are all damaged on my XKR and need replacing.

I am wondering whether this is necessary to do all this work immediately, i.e., is it dangerous , if its just a "dust cover"

Welcome to the club, Arshad,

I am not a mechanic, but the dust covers are there for a reason.  I would be inclined to check out the cost from an Independent Jaguar Garage to keep the labour cost down.

Regards,

Peter.

Change them asap

Dust covers are there to keep dirt out and grease in, also any dirt which gets in the grease will result in rapid wear

HI

Its also a mot fail, so I'd get it done, so it does not add up at mot time

cheers

Joe
