Just got an X type 2.5 SE AWD Estate on a 57  plate. looks pampered and well maintained. Not my first Jag, but first one after a very long absence . Got rid of Range rover 4.2 Supercharged and we only had one car for a while , that did not please 'er indoors so bought this as a run about. Once I get to grips with it I will post my experiences , I am hoping they are not as painful as ownership of the range rover was, having to get the Old Enfield out on an icy day because the RR had gone into another sulk was no fun at all. The "Fullfat" range rover forum was excellent though (just as well). Dont want to tempt fate but I hope this one is as helpful /informative.

Hi Paul , when i bought mine it needed several small niggly jobs doing , but now it is virtually as i want it i'm over the moon with it . I hope you enjoy yours as much as i do mine .

Regards ,

Andy .

Hi Paul, and welcome to the Club.

As Andrew says, it is not uncommon for a few niggly jobs to be required to get them right at the outset, but then you should have years of enjoyment.

I trust that you will enjoy both the car and the Club!

Thankyou for the responses, mine has a decal on the tailgate , an outline of the Le Mans circuit. Perhaps some one on this forum may recognise it??

I have seen a few with the Le Mans circuit decal. I don't think it relates to the model, but rather is a decal that the owner bought and stuck on, but I stand to be corrected if anyone knows different!

Thanks

I did realise the previous owner has stuck this on, but I was really asking if the previous owner was on the forum and recognised their old car, long shot though, and yes I could have been more precise with my post.

recognised their previous car

Having reread your post Paul I see what you mean: Nothing wrong with the post, just me barking up the wrong tree!

Sometime you see stuck on emblems on the back of cars.  One I saw many years ago stuck on the back of a Triumph Herald with the 1196cc engine   It read "GT" and while the Triumph Herald was a very nice car, it was never a Grand Tourer.

Peter.

Back in the day I had a Mini 1275GT. You could tour in it, but it could hardly be a grand tourer with a boot that size!
