New X-Type 2.0d owner

Featured Replies

Hi

Just got myself a X-Type 2.0D sport with 87k on the clock ,  Zircon blue with leather and alcantara interior.

Drives very nice , although slight knock from rear suspension , going to replace rear roll bar bushes and links first then go from there.

A/C pump disconnected as drive clutch fallen apart and rattle from belt  tensioner at idle  , all jobs for when it warms up a bit outside.

Heater issue with hot air all the time and climate not sending signals to stepper motors., looking at this first with the help of the guys from Stevenage Prestige , Luke and Damien know their Jags.

Welcome to the club, Richard.

The X type is a very good car, and the 2.0 litre diesel is a well tested workhorse.  My son has an estate in the same colour and with the same engine.

Having a good mechanic is a great asset, too. Enjoy.

Regards

Peter.

Many thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Rear discs and pads will be required on mine soon , but hoping this weekend to do rear roll bar links and bushes along with rear lower link rods.

Heating system all working correctly now , climate control panel had failed , a good used one fitted and coded now.
