Hi , everyone iam new at this just joined, i have just got my first jaguar love them since i was a kid very proud to be now owning one  of my own. i have a couple of

issues the left hand side bonnet catch as you face the front of car, is not locking down the catch is ok can't see anything getting in the way any ideas.

secondly my car starts first time from cold but when it gets warm it struggles till you touch the accelerator a little bit then starts but sounds like it's either

flooding or starved of fuel i can't tell which the car is a x- type 2.0 S D any ideas would great thanks.

don't know that much about diesels, but a friend of mine had a similar fault, his was a leaky injector, his was difficult to start, it also gave him problems with the engine Oil, because the injector was leaking when it stood, it leaked into the cylinder, past the piston rings and into the engine Oil, so his engine Oil went up on the dipstick with out topping it up

when he had his injector replaced, it started like it should and his oil problem was also cured
