Hi mickyrs and welcome to the Club!

I should have thought that you would be better to find the model that you really want, rather than try to buy a basic model and upgrade it.

I am not an expert on the electrics, but would have thought they may be a problem, and also that it is going to end up costing you more if you do it this way.

Welcome to the Club, Mick.

I am inclined to agree with David.  There are plenty of Jaguar X Type estates around and the possible higher price you might pay for a SE could well be lower that the cost of upgrading the interior.

Regards,

Peter.

I agree with the other comments, it will cost you more to upgrade than buying one in a better spec. You will never be happy with it which would be a shame. There are loads of SE and Sovereigns for sale. I used to have a sport model with half leather sports seats which I found really uncomfortable and looked into changing the interior but it was just not worth it. We also used to have a SE which was fine.
