With my last car (mondo'd Land Rover Freelander) sadly written off by a lady reversing into it at high speed, I unexpectedly find myself the proud owner of a 2006 S-Type 2.9d V6 after stumbling across a fine specimen for sale yesterday. Immaculate condition, in Racing Green. Drives beautifully and has been really looked after, am over the moon with it.

    That sounds like a good swap, Samuel!    How about some pictures?

    Although our XK is for high days and holidays, our S is more regularly used and we find it a great ride, with plenty of oomph when needed.   We reckon the S is a classic in the making, particularly in top condition and the right spec.    Enjoy!

    The s type is a great driver's car, and will always give you good, comfortable ride.

    The 2.7 Gemini Diesel is a very good engine with bags of speed.  It does like Premium Fuel and the extra cost is worth it both in consumption and smoothness
