handbrake not working dsc light on gearbox fault

Featured Replies

hi can anyone help i have a 2009 xf jag

the hand brake stopped working coming up with dsc gearbox and handbrake fault also the brake lights are intermittent need help

If that was an S-Type I'd almost guarantee a weak, discharged battery.

A lot of the electronics in our cars are voltage sensitive and even a slight voltage drop will cause then to shut down.

Try charging your battery or fitting a known good battery.

Hi Jason,

I used to get that on my s type and my battery was 4 years and 11 months old.  I changed it and the problem went away..

The 09 xf is not much different to the 07 s type and I Paul has given you some very good advice.

Regards,

Peter.
