Hello all, after a failed head gasket on my 2.5v6 Freelander, I had to find a replacement motor.  Searched and searched for something to suit my requirements and budget and up pops an X-Type Tourer.  I know not everyone rates these models, and they may not be as classy and special as some of the Jaguars past and present, but I've always wanted a Jaguar, never been in a position to buy one, and now I have !  And I am looking forward to picking it up tomorrow !!  I want to join this group as groups like this are handy for advice etc when you need it and it's nice to be part of a group of people who have something in common.  So.....................hello from me :yahoo:

Hi Nick

Hi Nick

i to am in the same position as i pick mine up tomorrow, to be honest i can not wait to get behind the wheel after having a test drive, totally different from the beemer

enjoy your ownership

Add another welcome from me too, good to have you aboard Nick.

Theres are mandatory hidden extras that come with every Jag and you'll soon get accustomed to them. These include: -

  1. The smile all Jag drivers wear behind the wheel which results from: -
    1. The shear joy of owning and driving one of these fabulous machines.
    2. And secondly from the smug satisfaction that most other drivers are not in a Jag.
  2. The camaraderie of those who share the same guilty pleasures.
  3. An absence of grumbles about filling the tank - it's always worth it.
  4. The terror of supermarket car-parks.

Avoid the last and you have many years of fun ahead.:Jumpy:
