Below is a image of a screen shot that a jag dealer sent me with info on my car. I says 'Bluetooth Interface PHONE PRE-WIRE' what dose this mean? Dose it have Bluetooth or do I need to get the BT module?

OK, so what do I need to do to get the Bluetooth working?

Am I right to think this is the socket for the BT module under the center consul storage box (between the two front seats)

hi

yes thats the bluetooth socket

you have two options you either need

the earlier option, phone module in the boot with extra D2B fibre optic link, bluetooth module in the armrest and a mic fitted to the roof console

or the later option, plastic type phone/bluetooth combined module in the boot, with extra D2B fibre optic link and bluetooth antenna for phone/bluetooth module and mic fitted to roof console.

later setup is easier to fit and sometime cheaper as only one module is needed

cheers

??????? Should my car have any of this already? With the later option, what is the BT socket in the center consul for?

I have seen plenty of the BT Modules on ebay

Sounds like to much hassle and expense, and the wife probably won't use it as it is her car. I think I will lay this one to rest.......

hi

the bluetooth module wont work without a phone module

yours is pre wired for bluetooth and some cars were wired for phone module and a handset in the armrest

seems like a lot of effort, but I like the built in system, because if your car has Jaguar Voice it can all be controlled via voice

if your car has a later bluetooth module, if you search bluetooth, Jaguar will come up as a device

cheers

Joe
