Hi, I'm thinking of "chroming up" my s type, how far should I go? Lights f/r, wing mirrors, wheel arches. Would the whole lot be going too far? Tia.

If you want it to look like you ram raided Halfords and some of the bits stuck, carry on !

Plastic 'chrome' is down to personal preference I suppose, but to me it ruins the car.

To each his own ?

Hi David,

I have thought about chroming up the lights, but nothing else.  The lights on Ron's car look quite good especially on a darker car, and I have not ruled out doing the same to mine.

I did see an S type with Chrome wing mirrors and wheel arches and thought that it looked more like a fifties American style car. I wouldn't bother with them.

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks Peter, don't think I'll go the whole hog but I'll do the lights in real metal chrome.
