key fob

Featured Replies

Hi all, can anyone please tell me do i need to take my key fob to jag to have a new battery fitted, i have a 2015 sportbrake and the message is diplaying that the battery is low on one of mine

I would have thought that is unnecessary.  I've changed fob batteries in many other makes of vehicle and I don't believe Jag would be any different.   Try it and see or phone a Jag dealer and ask the question.

 Hi Stuart,

I changed the batteries on my Rover Sterling three or 4 times over 11 years, with never a problem.  I have not had reason to change the batteries on the fobs for my s type, but the handbook gives good instructions on how to do it, and it does not seem too tricky.

I have changed the fob front part of the fob when the figures were getting worn, and that was very easy

Regards,

Peter.

hi

you can just swap the batteries with no issues

it will tell you in the handbook if there is any special pairing procedure required after

cheers

Joe
