Hi, 

I wonder if anyone can suggest how to repair (or who could repair)  the map pocket on the back of an XF front seat? The bottom edge has come away from the main seatback. Looks simple to push back in, but no luck. I've no experience of fixing interior bits, and would really like it fixed as it's the only thing that lets the inside down.

I have just been outside to have a look at my S Type, but unfortunately they are quite different.

I wonder if something like a matchstick glued on to the inner side would assist pushing it in?

Peters suggestion may work but looking at the photo I was thinking that the leather has been damaged by something heavy or too firmly pushed into the pocket? 

Given the restricted space available it may be necessary to remove the pocket from the seat back before making the repair with whatever material. If you check the points at which the pocket is attached to the top of the seat you may find that you can separate them there, the bottom will probably be a couple of 'U tabs' or the like, that can be gently pulled away but you will need to be careful. Getting it out of the car will certainly let you make a better repair than while struggling in the rear footwell.

It definitely is a struggle in the footwell, especially for someone who's 6'2" and 62yrs old ;-). I'll have a go at removal soon, but taking the cat on it's first long journey (since I got it) - off to Ireland this week - can't wait!!!

The last time I went to Ireland both brake lights failed, and I called in to a Tyre Fitters close to where we were staying. The fitter supplied and fitted both bulbs for 5 euros. It would have cost £10 in the UK  --- I did give him 10 Euros!      Galway Bay!

Ha! So that's why it bites back on wet roundabouts then!

Do they like Guinness tho?

Galway Bay is beautiful - I've been fortunate enough to do lots of work there over the years. This time we're off to the wife's family home in Tipperary for a niece's wedding. Just hope it doesn't rain! (forlorn hope though!).

My family came from Tullamore, but it was a long time ago.  Our week in Galway a year or so ago was sunny all the time I am very lucky with the weather!
