Does the x type estate have one in the boot or do you have to fit one yourself.

Will be parking at airport for 3 weeks and want to plug in a solar trickle charger.

The cigar lighter in front has no power supply when ignition is off.

TIA

Hi Rodney,

Where in the boot? Damned if I can see one.

My son has an x type estate.  He tells me that the auxiliary socket is under the carpet.

Hi Steve,

When I have used a solar charger I have always connected it to the battery terminals.  Always works.  They didn't have power sockets when I first had a car.

Peter.

That's it, Steve.

It is a bit different with the S type as the battery is in the boot.

Regards,

Peter.

How embarassing. Car started first turn of the key for AA man. Said the charger had done its job well. Have no idea why it had not started for me. Think the car was sulking for being left idle for 3 weeks. Fickle things these jags.
