Coolant question

I have a v6 3.0 supercharged petrol XF, and got a low coolant warning that intermittently pops up. Seems to go with elevation changes, which indicates the sensor is probably ok.

Looking at the coolant tank, it does look quite low.

My question is, does this use special coolant? Or can I mix up some water and antifreeze and top up myself?
