having took my car to have wheels refurbished I was told that the 'tyre pressure system fault' notification would clear after driving 30 miles after 120 miles the notification comes on every time in between my mot require renewal and has today failed on  the dash notification ' tyre pressure system fault'  the MOT garage tried to diagnose the problem and advised that the valves do not appear to have been programmed.  I was also told that I would need the serial numbers of the two valves which could meant the tyres would have to be removed again to get the valve serial numbers to re-programme them

can anyone through some light on this   thanks   2014 XF 2.2 premium luxury.

I went through this nightmare with exactly the same car - year as well.

When the correct tpms valves get fitted, the car should recognise them, otherwise they are the wrong ones. Fit the right ones and five minutes later at above 20mph and the lights go out

I got them from eBay and are blue, that’s what I remember

I’ll try and find the ones I fitted…
