Just did a one-hour drive to force regen of DPF thinking it may be the cause of the Restricted Performance message popping up. During the hour I did some relatively fast overtakes with no problem, 4km from home a less speedy overtake and up pops the message, very frustrating. Any ides please. I've ordered an iCarsoft LR V2.0 Jaguar OBD2 diagnostic scanner but it is coming from the UK and I live in Poland so won't be here until the 26th. Would like to resolve sooner.

Could be a number of things, frustrating but would wait for the scanner.

Hi Frank,

I had the same issue with my previous XF. It was caused by a cracked inlet manifold.

I don't remember the cost to replace it, but it wasn't exhorbitant.
