NEW AND MEMBER INTRODUCING MYSELF

Hi guys

NEW owner introducing myself and with a few questions if anybody can help please.

Hi there I have just come from Volvo's having owned only them for the last 17years.

I had a much loved XC90 SE LUX for the past 8 years which had money spent on it if anything went wrong but the road tax was about to go up to £675 so enough was enough it's gone.

I have now obtained an absolutely beautiful MY14 XFS 3.0LTR D SPORT BRAKE PORTFOLIO in ULTIMATE BLACK METALLIC WITH BLACK 20"WHEELS With only 56000miles on it.

Very pleased with my purchase which I have had for a couple of weeks now but starting to find things not there which I think should be so I have come on here to ask you chaps what should be standard on the MY14 PORTFOLIO and what is considered an extra.

There is no blind spot monitor on the mirrors and no option for operation in the menu and secondly although I have xenon's the auto main beam option is also not in the menu.

Should these items be standard for PORTFOLIO trim or were they extras for that year.

Any help much appreciated

Many thanks

Hi OTH thnx 4 the welcome M8 but I think I've found the answer 2 my questions myself .....it would appear that although I own the PORTFOLIO some of the extras which I thought were included were @build options which is disappointing....namely the auto main beam and the blind spot monitor.

Not 2 worry just going 2 enjoy the amazing car.

Regards IAN 🙂

Hi Ian,

i've had my Jag about 15 months now and it's only the second car i've owned that i know will put a smile on my face every time i drive it.

Had my Honda CR-V (replacement for the 760GLE) about 3 months now and except for a few minor niggles (and horrendous fuel consumption!) i'm enjoying that too.

My Jag is the S Type, the predecessor to the XF and there was no estate (Sportbrake) option on the S Type. Maybe at some point in the future i'll get a Sportbrake to "combine" the CR-V and S_Type but that will be a long way off!

I do still lurk on the VOC forum, there are several long running threads i follow.
