x type speed

Hi All,

Just joined and have a question. When stationary my x type speedo shows 20 odd MPH so is always wrong. Anyone had this happen??? and is it an easy fix or an expensive trip to a dealer :(

Yes that is correct at rest the speedo reads 20MPH. It does occasionally go back to zero but then goes back to showing 20 mPH faster.

it maybe the Speedo Sensor thats faulty. Have you had any work done to the car recently?

Hi, thanks for the answers it seems ok now . weird but i guess one of the foibles of owning a Jag . Just got myself a new number J4G EK to go in it only paid £320 a bargain methinks.
