Gear change fault

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 XK8. There is an intermittent fault with the auto gearbox which disables the manual gearchange facility plus the sport mode so it will only go in standard auto mode with no J gate change & no sport. The Jag dealer is vague about what it could be and I don't want to pay for unnecessry time for them to investigate. Anyone got any ideas ?

Hello Andrew

There is a particular microswitch on the JGate that tells the gearbox when you go into manual mode. The microswitch could be faulty or have a bad connection.

Give us a call on 01264 333523 or on 0770 4321556 if you want some advice.
