S type jumping out of first gear

Just purchased s type with manual gearbox on occasions jumps out of first gear on pull away,any ideas would be welcome , thanks Steve

Does the car feel like it is fully engaging in to gear? If it does then you may need to see a gearbox specialist. :(

If it doesnt then it may be simply the gearstick has an obstruction stopping it from going in to gear properly.

Not a gearbox specialist myself though

goes into gear then slips out as car moves.but not frequently,thank you for reply
