Hi all,Ive had Rangies and M3s. Now my other arf says that Jags are for older blokes and that im turning into an old git maybe I am but that got me thinkin Im in my mid 40s, what about you guys.

66 and a proud old git! S Type definitely for old gits but something like an XK R/XK RS……..

Jaguar are moving in to a younger market with it's new line up, so don't feel you will be an old git. I am 41 and love em.

People think of jags as old classic cars..

go and enjoy a car you've always wanted

28 and just bought my first Jag, to be honest I wish I bought one sooner!

HI Harrison,

I guess I had the same thought a decade ago, I had totalled my car and was looking at a suitable replacement. I adored the S-Type and was seriously looking at buying one but thought it was an old blokes car. Anyway, ten years on, I've bought my first Jag, a S-Type - I'm 44.

All the best,

Dave

Just collected the 4th x type for our household, been brought up with them and since I turned 21 I have spent numourous long drives using my dads x-types, so when I found this AWD one I had to have it. Its a great car for the winter months while my other car can rest. I am 30 and don't feel like am driving an old mans car.

An XJ driver once said to me, that the reason they were considered old mans cars is because only older blokes could afford them, That made me feel better.

P.S Still lovin the jag

I can't believe that I have waited this long to own one, I now drive around with a silly fixed grin

Thank you,

I am enjoying being here and reading the posts from like minded Jag owners and pleased to read that we are not all that old

21 and have had mine for a few months, alarmining cheap to insure for a 3l xtype. got to say you get let out more in a jag than a mr2 :)

I am 30 with a beautiful little daughter who has lots of things that me and my wife have to carry about hence why I have just bought my first Jaguar. It's a 2.2 X-Type Sovereign Estate and I love it....lots of gadgets to play with which an old man probably wouldn't be able to use!! haha!

Chris

I am 29 and have always loved jags since I was a kid. All my mates have always took the Micky saying that jags are old mans cars but I disagree. I bought my 1st jag when I was 25. It was a 3 litre V6 s type. It was a silver manual with black leather interior and it was by far one of the best cars I have ever owned. All my friends took the Micky but they never complained about getting in it and all ended up loving it. I've had alls sought of cars before there an addiction but there is just something about the way a jag makes you feel when your at the wheel. I felt the need to get another jag recently and bought a 2002 x type. Its the 2.5 V6 sport in jaguar racing green with full immaculate cream leather. It came with full main dealer history with 2 owners and 97000 miles on the clock with new breaks, tyres and 9 months mot. And for all this payed £1740 from a dealer. Now you tell me what else you would get for that sought of money that would get anywhere near the pedigree or quality. Got to love a jaguar. Think I'm just going to stick with them from now on!!!
