The winter mode seems to work well and it performs well on snow and ice provided winter wheels are fitted. That beautiful design is less functional in heavy snow though. Open the boot when it's covered in snow and all that snow falls inside the car!!

Had the same snow in the boot experience.I find the winter mode does seem to work.

Hi Michael,

Although we only had a couple of days of snow, I had the same boot issue with my S-Type - could it be a Jag feature ;)

Best regards,

Dave

Had this with my new XF also - once - 2nd time I simply brushed the bulk of the snow off the boot before opening ;) . Also had this on other cars so can't really complain! Winter mode worked well for me in about 6 inches of snow with normal tyres but will consider winter tyres for next winter.
