Hi, I just joined and seeing as how the year is only 7 days old will still say Happy New Year to all.

My first Jaguar was a 1962 MKII that I bought in 1973 and it was already very rusty! I totally 'restored it' and drove across Canada twice with the car with no problems.

My second was a non running XJ-6 that I bought in the summer of 1999 while working in Teesside. My intention was to use it as a donor car for a Jaguar based kit car that I planned to build. I rebuilt the XJ-6's engine and got it roadworthy but decided not to pursue th kit so got rid of the car at the end of the summer.

My first 'almost new car' was a 01 reg X-Type that I bought in the summer of 2003 while living in Ingleby Barwick. The car was taken to Dublin in the summer of 2004 and sold there in 2005.

I liked the all wheel drive feature of the X-Type so in 2006 I bought a 05 registered X-Type Estate. I imported the car from California to Calgary where I was living at the time. I now live in Merritt BC and still have the X-Type. Hmmm, now that the XJ and XF have an all wheel drive model.....

In May 2008 I bought a 03 registered XKR roadster that I played with for 2 summers while working in England and Ireland. Loved that car!!
