Hi

I recently joined when deciding to buy an XK8, unfortunately when we viewed, because of the lack of rear leg room it was sadly a no............... for now.

However, we then saw an XF, came home did some homework and have decided that for now, it is the route we are going to take.

Today was my first test drive in a 3.0d S variant and all I can say about it is "why would anybody buy anything else".

So, my local dealer is now doing his homework to find my ideal car and target date for my first growler badge is 2nd week of May.

Anything you guys consider I would need to know? ie weaknesses, hopefully it will be a late 09 or 10 plate.

You are making a good decision the xf is without a doubt one of the best cars jaguar have ever built and im not just saying that because i own one.Over 100 awards cant be bad.My xf is a 2008 premium luxury diesel and i have had no real problems. There were a number of service actions carried out on some of the earlier cars mine included and early problems such as sticking fuel filler flap and gear selector will have been dealt with on an 09...10 plate. If you are buying the s model the 10 plate on models will have the full sports seats which by all acounts are superb.Hope you find your xf soon i know you and your wife will love it.
