Cheers Haydnt,

Didnt realise my driving style would change as much with the Jag.I PXd a Mini Cooper S for the Jag,I'd owned it for 10 years and drove it as you would a supercharged car,now I am quite happy to amble along  and enjoy the comfort of taking longer with my journeys............why rush a good thing ! !

Hi John,

Welcome to the club and Jag ownership.  Hope you're not going to drive too slow, don't want to get to much of an "old man's car" thing going on   :) - it was the first thing my ex said to me when I collected my son for the weekend.

Look forward to seeing some pics,

Best regards,

Dave

I get that all the time too, my other half always calling me a old man, my second Jaguar both x types, love the car always a pleasure to drive, just drove to paris from newcastle didn't see any Jaguars in France not one saw the odd Audi and BMW But citroen and renault seem to rule over there.

Hi Burl,

I agree with your observation on the Continent, I've just come back from a couple of days in Rome and Antwerp and I've been keeping the beedy eye out for Jags.   I guess I've been doing that since I bought mine.

Must admit, in both cities I've seen a few Jags - mostly S and X types, a couple of XFs but little else.

Hi John I've just joined the forum and seen your post, have to agree about driving styles ,after driving high performance cars I now own an 2001 stype 3.0 cracking condition and low miles and I've turned into miss daisy!! I just love the experience of driving the machine also had it recently converted to run on gas so I can drive longer with out worrying about the cost.

Have fun. Ralph

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello all, just joined myself and going through the topics. I've been a proud owner of an xtype 3lt for over a year and the thing I love about it best is that I can relax and take it easy in comfort or put my foot down and have some fun all in the same car! why oh why didn't I get one sooner.........

Hi Craig, welcome to the forum.  Totally agree with your approach to driving, admittedly I'm exercising the horses mor than taking it easy :D, as you say, why didn't I do this much sooner.  Hope to see some pictures of your car posted,

Best regards,

Dave
