Can anyone tell me the sugested tyre pressures for my XF when towing a caravan.

Non towing is 31psi. dealer says put an xtra couple of pounds in. Not very scientific but are they right

I always used to put 10% more pressure in my tyres when I towed my caravan.  My test was not scientific either, ---  did the tyres get too warm was the criterion.

Just an addition to my previous post.

 

The handbook for my S type says that when towing at maximum allowed speed tyres should be inflated to 39 psi [25 bar].  I don't tow any more, so I had not looked up the detail.

 

Your dealer should have a handbook for the XF, though.

I normally use psi.  What's a dot worth?

1 bar = 14.5 psi so 25 bar = 362.5 psi :)

which makes that dot extremly important if you manage to blow the tyres up to 25 bar please take pictures then we can all see what an XF based monster truck would look like lol
