I have always considered the back seats a waste of space: True, 2 kids in baby safety seats would be comfy, but getting them in would involve enough twists and turns to keep a gymnast in trim.
Having said this, others disagree, and say that their sub teen kids use them very happily.

Welcome to the Club from a fellow new member.
My father had the 3.8S, in opalescent silver blue: it brings back lots of happy memories!

Very nice too! I look forward to hearing a lot more about it when you take delivery.
I would expect it to place a permanent smile on your face!

The main issue is going to be rear seat room: Old Peter is right, and the kids should try it!
It may well be fine for short distances, but I have my doubts about longer journeys.
That said, street cred is sky high, and you may find that the children love it, if only because it enhances their reputations no end!

Thanks Peter. In the two and a half years I have had the XK it has performed perfectly. Nothing has failed, save that I had to replace the front NS indicator Bulb about a year ago, and the rear NS brake light Bulb about six months ago. Less than ten pounds all in!
I only do about 3000 miles a year, using the car only once a week on average. However it is garaged, and kept on a CTEK battery conditioner when it is not being used.
I can't imagine selling it until I find it too hard to climb out: Hopefully no time soon!

Go for it!
It is the things that we don't do in life which we regret, and if you don't do it you will always wish you had.
I have had mine two and a half years, and it has cost me nothing other than an indicator lamp Bulb, and a brake lamp bulb: Less than 10 quid, and the smile has never left my face the whole time I have had it!
OK, so MPG will probably be in the lower 20s, but depreciation is minimal. People pay so much attention to Mpg and very little to depreciation, even though depreciation is usually much greater than the cost of the petrol.
The only down side is that it is basically a two seater, the back seats being suitable for very little. If you can live with that, go for it.
If you do decide to go for it, let us know, and you will get lots of advice: They are pretty bulletproof, but there are things to look out for.
