Check the ground points around the engine bay making sure they are clean and tight.

You could try popping in to your local dealer and ask them. I’ve not been able to find any mention of that code either so the dealer would be my next option.

A little info for you by the guy who designed it.

Put “Jaguar XK8 brake calliper” into Google, it will bring up a host of options including rebuild kits.🙂

Here you go Andy, have a read of this.

Excellent news Michael, the car will thank you for it. Enjoy.😎

If the car has done over 60k miles then a gearbox service is certainly recommended.

Hi Yongi,
The two oval covers on the bumper hide the actual washers. The washers for the headlight will operate once every six pushes of the the washer button. The headlights must be switched on for this to happen.
Have someone start the car and switch the lights on then push the washer button. If you stand at the front of the car you should see the covers spring out and the washer operate.
Hope this helps.

Then why not post something about your car and garner some interest.😊

Hi jack, which options are you missing and which would you like to have.

If all was ok prior to the change then the battery has to be suspect. Rarely are new batteries supplied fully charged so an overnight charge will give you a known starting point.

- Faulty Air Conditioning Clutch Relay
- Air Conditioning Clutch Relay harness is open or shorted
- Air Conditioning Clutch Relay circuit poor electrical connection
Worth checking the above first.
Figure 06.1 of this electrical manual may help. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/CarPDFFiles/SType/S-Type-Electrical-2006on.pdf

Open the bonnet and remove the cowl around the windscreen. Check and clean both drains and remove all debris.

Hi Mathew,
Remove the cassette from the cd changer ensuring you account for all 6 cd’s. Make sure that all cd’s are sat correctly in their trays and the trays are correctly positioned in the cassette.
Now refit the cassette into the cd changer and try again.🙂

With the car running and the battery light on, check the voltage at the battery and see what you get. Sounds like the alternator though.
-
Have a look in the vehicle settings, accessed through the infotainment screen, to see if the power fold mirrors have been switched off.
-
The first thing to do is to fully charge the battery overnight and see what happens then. These cars do not like low voltages as strange things can happen because of it.😁

Hi Roger,
Drive the seat fully forwards and remove the 2 bolts in the back seat track, now drive the seat fully backwards and remove the 2 front bolts in the seat track.
Now you will be able to tip the whole seat backwards to enable disconnection of the plugs underneath, then lift the seat out of the car.

Well you can certainly kiss goodbye to 40mpg if you do get one, that’s if you get chance before the wife does you in.🤣
