David With the CTEK you can buy a easy plug in adapter (I have one on my S-Type) which will show you the battery charge with a series of traffic lights colours, and allows a quick plug in when you want/need to use the CTEK. I find it adequate to control/identify the state of the battery. Often a consideration when enhancing a performance/race engine. Do you need the almost instant power (from a turbo which is matched and programmed with the least lag possible) or do you need top end power/speed, (often chosen is a supercharger as will produce higher power once really at higher revs).

Possibly battery low on charge problems. Is quite common for Jaguars to have low battery charge problems showing up. Usual advice on this forum is to invest in a CTEK Re-conditioner/ Charger (other makes are available, as the media would say) and use it very regularly and for extended time to make certain battery is always in good condition and well charged. This should be the start place and if that does not cure the problems, then read the codes that may have been generated, and see if there is relevant information stored there.
