A quick look at the classifieds will give you an idea of how much these cars fetch, in running order. However, 4 new tyres, brakes, possible suspension parts, not to mention engine recommissioning and the inevitable rust.
Based on this and why it was laid up in the first place, I wouldn’t go above 2k. As you say, you won’t know unless you ask.
Thanks Jim. Im tempted to rock up at his front door with a grand in cash and see what he says..... Will keep you updated.

Babacom Bluetooth Receiver, Car Bluetooth Aux Adapter, Noise Cancelling 3.5mm Aux Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver for Home Stereo, Wired Headphones, Hands-free Calls (16 Hours Working Time/Dual Link) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08L7ZC21T/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_RFZ7C27T3K9CZ695MZWG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
One I purchased, was great.
Looks simple enough, can I still use my steering wheel to receive phone calls with this ?

You may still be able to, does the 2011 have a 3.5 aux port? If so, can plug in a device that you can play via Bluetooth and take calls for £15 or so, used on a 2004 merc.
If not similar other devices for different ports, not sure can get anything for an old apple ipod port though.
Yes, I have a 3.5 aux port as well, I will need to shop around

Have you tried an adapter?
Would this work? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144342187254?hash=item219b76fcf6:g:5L4AAOSwa21hxEyW
Thanks John, so the car port end is correct, but the other end doesn't fit into my iPhone.

Hi all,
So, I visit my nephew regularly. For the last 2 years of visiting, I have noticed a 2005 XK8 sat on one of his neighbours drive and it has not been moved, or even started now for these last 2 years at least. The car is filthy, weeds are growing from the drive up over the bonnet of the car and the tyres are flat. Its heartbreaking to see a car like this be so neglected.
I am very tempted to knock on the owners front door and offer to take it off their hands. I appreciate there could be an underlying issue with the car which is why it is still sat there, but if you don`t ask, you don`t get right?
How much should I be offering for a car in this condition? I feel I may get a great deal on this depending on its overall condition, and as its not being used, I am hoping the owner will be happy for me to take it off his hands!!

Welcome to the group Reg, lovely looking car, and the best thing about these is that the mileage is never really an issue. These cars will do 200k if looked after correctly.

Welcome to the group Paul. I`m quite a way from Gloucester so cant help, but I hope you get them sorted.

Hell of a shame, I had 2 new front tyres fitted last just recently!! These would've done nicely

I recently felt minor vibrations on my XF. I had the front tyres replaced with the Jaguar recommended Pirelli P zero, and I can really feel the smoothness now. Only problem is it now high;lights the vibrations from the back tyres which I now need to change!!!
This could be a possibility for your vibrations.

With your 2011 model, can you play music through your phone onto your system via bluetooth? I have a 2010 XF and this isn't possible. There is a port to connect a cable for an old iPod( Which was obviously popular at the time), however, my modern day phone doesn't take these cables and can therefore, not play spotify from my phone on my car stereo.

If you don’t already have it, here is the electrical manual for your car.
