  2. Hi again everyone, Having an issue with the Aircon on my XF 2012 3.0DS 275 X250 FACELIFT. my Aircon doesn't get cold it gets cool but not cold and is better on motorway than around town obviously due to more airflow to the front of the car. I've tried to diagnose it but am running out of ideas. I've had it regassed and apparently they did a leak test and was ok, the compressor seems to be working it's spinning ok and the magnetic clutch is working fine, my radiator fan is working. I guess the front radiator is the condenser ? The other 2 get cold and the condenser gets hot which I assume is it exchanging the heat out to the atmosphere? My external temp reads ok in the cabin so I think sensor is ok. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks
  3. Is it a portfolio? Mine has the same and is portfolio I believe there are extra seat adjustments on the higher trim levels
  4. Hi, 2012 xfs 3.0d portfolio with bowers and Wilkins stereo. Recently noticed that the subwoofer hasn't been working and all the bass was from the front speakers. During the recent hot weather the subwoofer started working? The extra bass shaking the car made it obvious it was suddenly working and now I've noticed it doesn't work in a morning when the weather is cold on the way to work but after the car has been sat in the sun all day the subwoofer works perfectly all the way home and if I go anywhere else in the afternoon but then nothing the next morning again ? Guessing a bad contact somewhere. Anyone else ever had this ? I've checked the connector in the boot and reconnected it and checked the 2 wires going to the battery from the sub

    Remaps

Hi, has anyone had a 3.0 V6ds facelift x250 (275bhp) remapped? And lived to tell the tale or is it asking for trouble with the map sensor and I take manifold splitting issue or bottom end bearings wearing out oil dilution issues ? Im aware of these issues with the engine from what I've read but are they due to lack of oil changes or overfueling due to remaps/tuning boxes etc ?
  6. Thats ridiculous, I was under the impression the cambelt and water pump was fixed price of £650 at Jag? I tried a quote a few days ago on the jaguar website using my reg and mileage it's a 2012 3.0l v6s diesel 95,000 miles and a major service which includes the cambelt change was just over £1000. I've had various quotes from local garages online for £450-£500 for cambelt and water pump. Brakes I would do myself to be honest and have priced up brembo brake pads from GSF car parts (similar to euro car parts) for only £30-£35 a set, discs are more expensive and wear sensors but still shouldn't be anywhere near what you were quoted. I also want the gearbox service done, the ZF kit is about £250 but the process requires a ramp and diagnostic equipment to do it properly.
