hi Janis. im no expert but probs a sensor bet im right. make sure your battery is good coz that can throw up probs. these cats like a good battery. go on to you tube look for the wheeler dealers xk8 video . thers had "limp mode" and they fixed it. ATB charlie B)

hi ade was down in scarbourgh on holiday 1st week in may , weather bad but spent 2 nice days in Whitby lbeautifull wee town could move ther tmora got fish &chips out the Maggie waited for about an hour in big que really good wife loved the place to drove the xk I had at the time down to ROBINS HOOD BAY that was a laugh could barly turn at the bottom lol drove thou Whitby in sport mode all looking at the jag. voices saying ITS A JAGUAR happy chappy welcome to the club ATB charlie

hi Russell. yes your diff is gone, the seal on my 1st jag a 57plate xk whent at 55,ooo mls took it to prestige jaguar and was lucky it only neded a new seal. sold it a few months later for new xj, but take it back to them mate explain that the car is worse since you got it back from them than you put in in, best of luck charlie

hi russ, the jaguar enthusiasts club was the first jaguar club I joined when I bought my first jaguar an xk, they have regional monthly meetings ie all over the country. ther was one 2 miles from me at newhouse another in Glasgow, Edinburgh ect. I never attended them but the mag was quite good they sent one out to you every month . but after a year I stopped my subscription . I knew they also held more events than jaguarsowners club or jaguarforums.com or jaguarforum.co.uk. all which are free to join. in my opinion only mine thou . it was not worth paying £47 yearly for a mag. when I can buy one any time I want. so that's why I didn't re-new. I also know another member off this club. who was one off their members for many years attending meetings ect and organized a jaguar day out for members of this site and the other forums sites, and because off that he was sent to Coventry by them or black balled, de-balled lol what ever you want to call it, childish really. and yes sadly these stupid people still are in clubs up and down the country . wether its golf car clubs or social clubs. but he told me in confidence and I wont reveal his name. on the e form to join here it askes if you would like to attend club meetings most tick yes, but very few days out are done here and no monthly meetings are held, I suppose most folk have enough to do without gassing on about it all the time. realy its up to you ATB charlie

welcome to the club david, you will love the car. I have the prem l version not as nice as the portfolio with the piped seats&tv. but has every thing else ,power fold mirrors , auto boot opening&closing rear camera ect had her (anna) now for about 6weeks , inram silver black leather. its my second jag. had the xk 4.2l for 3years before loved the v8 growl. and used a insignia for the local shopping (dint like it. but down to 1 car now as I took early retirement to look after the wife. getting used to the xj its a big car just watch were you park it as the back end stcks out in the small car parking spaces but love it, quality car. enjoy yours ATB charlie

gary what colour is your car??? mines is silver xj new shape, so if you see an old git in one in Coatbridge down at the asda then its prob me lol

diamond quoted me £390 for my xj 2014 premiuim L new car with over 10 years no claim bonus so went with them. the ins co I was with privalage on the old xk 57 reg at £260 had wanted about the £600 mark I went on to moeysupermarket.com and opted for diamond the cheapest quote , these ins co offer no loyalty at all to the coustomer and in return we should show them the same
