  9. hi steve bet its the injectors sounds the same as the transits that used to give problems now and then. diagnostics would throw up egr valve. would replace that and sensors still be the same the problem was the injectors, a refurb one cost £150 for one, then the garages charge ect looking at £6-700 transits were also made by mr hendry ford and co. charlie
  10. trevor, am i right in thinking that its only the diesels cars that go into limp mode????? charlie

  14. peter, trevors right & to blow your c02 emissions theory out the water. i was pulled into a vosa emissions road side test 6mts ago. cop waived me in when driving the XK, the 2 vosa guys said to me DONT KNOW WHY HES PULLED YOU IN MATE COZ THIS IS A PETROL CAR. AT THAT one off them stuck the probe in the exhaust and told me & his mate, ITS the cleanest reading ive ever HAD 00.1 the road tax thing is just a gov rip off thing, ie big engine big tax charlie .
  15. hi folks i have been pondering this question to myself long and hard over the last few days and welcome your views, i myself find diesels smelly oily cars. and dangerous to the enviroment, as was on the news that diesel fumes can cause cancer. i am of the opinion that diesel should be scraped it is a by product off the petrol making process . i have owned 2 diesels and 30 odd vans over many years and that my exp of them confirms that they indead are oily smelly things that should be banned. devils fuel as trevor calls them and hes right. they are stinking cars that should not be onn the road. jaguar was founded and became mostly popular because of the the e type a petrol car. the stinking old bangers of x and s types should be banned for health reasons. and are not in the class off the e type the xtype and stype are now in the scrapyards as soon will be the xf dpf filter trouble car long live petrol
  16. trevor the cars that go up and down our roads are made of the cheapest crap you can get, i know they all have to come up to safty standards ect, but for an example. you young trevor can be safe in the fact that you have now bought one off the safest cars their is and that young trevor is a mercades benz. about 2 years ago me and my wife went to see my mother it was around lunchtime in june lovely day nice and sunny. on the way home from mums we were driving at 20mph through the small estate wer she lives, their is a small row of shops with a small car park. we were driving along next thing i know coz it was me that was driving, was a small blue citron pulled out behind a row of parked cars coming from this car park, right into our path i slamed the brakes on but we wer already to close that their was no stopping distance. bang the two cars collided. i would say that the young girl whom was driving this citron was only doing about 10mph we wer only doing 20mph it was her fault police attended ect, but her car was a total and i mean total right off. the bonnet wings even the engine had been moved back nearly into the cabin, we all got a terraible fright but all concernd were fine no injurys. THE WIFES CAR!!!!! only had scratches to the front bumper under the grill. what were you driving charlie i hear you ask. a c-class MERCADES BENZ. charlie
  17. trevor, you think thats junk, we wer looking at a ford fiesta before the insignia thats junk sparse plastic junk, the seats inside the insignia are better than that belive me, its only a car for doing local shopping trips and we dont go far in it, i would not drive down to cornwall in it coz my !Removed!&back would be killing me. although it would be more practical get more in it ,her chair ect, but will use the jag instead. charlie
  18. peter, the rover sterling was better fitted out inside that the s type, charlie
  19. trevor, how do you like the insignia. is it as bad as an stype lol charlie
  20. trevor tryed it when i was young its stinks its supposed to be a tonic wine but the idiots up here drink it by the bottle then fight with anything that moves, no kidding, charlie
  21. oh we live and learn, up here peter we like our wine to you know only the finest , hand made by the monks of buckfast abbey no less. charlie
