did receive codes of P0100/P0765/C/2575/ at one time but they have gone. Stan

Just erased all readings and engine light came on again. Removed MAF body and air filter, sprayed MAF body with carb cleaner re assembled did another check and nothing, no fault codes or warning lights. One thing that does concern me is the fact that engine goes ok but will not rev over about 3000rpm. Stan

Back again Trevor. In I/M Reddines what is meant by MIS FUE COMM HCA EVA Any Ideas please. Malfunction light has come on now but no codes, im wondering will it go off again on its own. Car runs fine.

Thank you to Peter AND Trevor, I have done a basic on my fault by removing a few connecters and spraying with WD 40. guess what, did another test and bingo no faults recorded. on a small run appears to be fine. now accelerates above the 2.5k/rpm. so hopefully recovered. Thanks for your help, its nice to know there is some one to turn to out there that doesn't want hundreds of pounds to help. Regards Stan

I have just had diagnostic on again, still showing code P1587. disconnected a few cables connecters and sprayed WD40 into sockets. Now message has disappeared but fault still there. Car wont rev over 3 rpm. so take it problem still there. Just going to view web sites you sent me.

Yes Pete, I remember seeing that a couple of weeks ago . It was the air flow meter has I remember it. Anyway, I bought the test meter off e bay and tested today. came up with code PI587. which apparently is the cruise control related, but that is has far has I can go. Would be grateful for any assistance.

What is Failsafe Engine Mode and what can be done to clear it.

Hi every one. I am Stan the newbie, that new I don't have my Jag until Friday. My first jag was a XJ6, Since then I have owned a BMW 3Volvo`s and several others inc a 206. Must admit I do like big cars, especially big cats. Will post some pics when I get some.
