Mine is less than half that Trevor in fact it is cheaper than the 1600 car I had previous to the Jag and so is the Insurance.

Where I live I get about 14mpg around town. From home to town in two miles I have two round a bouts and five sets of lights. not good if they are all at red. But do get 29/30 on a good run on Motorway.

My first car was in 1970. I also was a biker from age 16. had to many to recall. first car was a beatle , exported from Germany in 1947.no hydraulics just cables. Loved that VW.

My last Volvo,( I have had 3), was 21 years old, 2.3ltr Turbo Intercooler, and it was magic. not a bit of rust anywhere. passed mot every year no bother. wouldn't really like a new one though.

Happy birthday Trevor. What a load of old grumpies you are. I have had my 78th birthday. and last week celebrated 55th wedding anniversary. but do I grumble, of course I do. and I use my bus pass occasionally. Have a nice day. Stan. PS. Jag is running well also.

Hi Bryn, welcome to the club. I had a Daimler Sov 4.2 in 1980s. that was a lovely car. Have S Type now. Where in east Yorkshire are you, I have relatives in Bridlington. and I served at RAF Patrington in 1962. Lived at Sutton on Hull. Born in North Yorkshire. Regards Stan.

Just back from a super week on Isle of Wight. for 55 th wedding anniversary. Thanks to all my friends and family for their anniversary wishes.

You may have to really push in the plug. mine will sometimes not connect until I jiggle it about a bit.
