  1. My Jag has been out of commission for the last ten days with non start problem. Engine light was on. Plugged in diagnostic to lap top and found fault code P1586, everything pointing to throttle position sensor, throttle body etc. What to do, get a new throttle body. No, I remembered just before fault occurred that I had switched some relays trying to get my cruise working. On examining relays discovered that four of them where damaged. replaced from ebay. and guess what, No 4 relay in engine bay fuse box was faulty. Engine now back to normal, thank goodness, for a few pounds and not a few hundred. Regards Stan.

  10. Had a great time at the meet today, met some very nice people and nice to put faces to names. Nice amount raised for St John`s. See you all again soon I hope Stan. Got a few pics, will try to put them on later.
  11. OK so I was wrong, Super bikes next week end at Donington. Traffic should be normal. (What is normal) See you all there then. Stan.
  12. I believe it is the Superbikes at Donnington Park. on Sunday. allow extra time for extra taffic, there will be plenty of it. if it is. Stan.
  13. Apparently from some earlier posts it doesn't always work. I would like to know how It is done because mine car cam with only one key. Stan.
  14. There should be two rubber stops, one at each side. you have to sort of look up from the underside. If you don't have these you may see two holes. The stops look like two square rubber bungs that just push in to the holes. I would think that they are available, and not to difficult to fit. Hope this helps. Regards Stan
  15. Looking forward to it, especialy as weather appears to be improving.
  16. I am afraid to say that there are not many considerate drivers around these days, either parking or driving. I always acknowledge a driver giving way to me on the odd occasion that they do. but it rarely happens the other way round. I keep telling myself it is the world we live in these days. Still say it costs nothing to be polite. Unfortunately car park spaces are not big enough for our cats. I try to park like yourself these days. Stan
  17. Just going to say that myself Peter, about the charger that is. Stan.
  18. Surely it would do more mpg with the A/C off. I am not too bothered about the mileage for the need to keep a log, because I very rarely go far and it is mainly around town. I was only really interested in what it was doing on a long run. Such a great drive anyway. In addition to the tyre pressures, on the plate on the front of drivers door hinge pillar, comfort pressure is 28 psi up to 100mph. Cannot remember what book says, must look next time I am in Garage, and at my age I don't go tearing around. Regard. Stan
  19. I disagree with you Trevor, North is North of Doncaster. always has been, and to a true Yorkie always will be. So There. !!!!!! And Twerk is what Yorkshire men go to every morning. Stan
  20. After my run to north yorkshire I was pleased to find that going,on the M1, including a trafic jam of about nine miles, the S Type returned 32.5mpg. That also included doing 80 in a couple of places to make up time. Coming back on the scenic route, including M180. A46 etc it only did 29.2. The moral of this story is, in future stick to the motorway where possible. Stan.
  21. That is me as well Karl, but knowing my luck it will be more expensive being a classic. Stan
  22. Hi Karl. I am going up into N Yorkshire tomorrow then across country to Bridlington and Scarborough, would be nice to compare next week. Stan.
  23. After the last post of MPG for 2.7 S Type I would be interested in viewers comments on their V6 3.0 Ltre. I have not done a long distance yet, the best I can say is 27 mpg semi urban with lots of traffic lights etc. Stan
