  1. I have just heard from the general manager at the Holiday Inn Express and the reserved rooms are available Fri, Sat, and Sunday nights, and can be booked from this point forwards - all three nights are available at the £54 per night rate!
  2. OK guys, I have been working on a surprise attendee that I think everyone will find of interest (the car I mean :-)) more news to come when I know more :-)
  3. OK the accomodation deal, exclusive to our event, is as follows: The address & contact details are as below: Holiday Inn Express The Squareabout Haslett Avenue East, CRAWLEY, RH10 1UA ENGLAND, UK Email: reception@hiexpresscrawley.co.uk Phone: +44 (0)1293 525 523 We (as an event) have requested 10 rooms to be reserved for us at a discounted rate for Friday & Saturday night. The rooms would normally cost in the range of £59 - £65 per night but have been reduced to a fixed price of £54 a night for us. This does include breakfast if wanted, free wi-fi, and parking. It will take them a day or so to set this up for us, but if you want to take advantage of this offer please email them, or call them quoting that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com event'. You will need to provide credit or debit card details to guarantee your booking. The rooms will be reserved exclusively for attendees to book until the end of April..

  5. OK guys, we have negotiated a deal with HolidayInn Express! More details will follow later this morning, but anyone looking for accomodation for the weekend of our event is now guaranteed a great discounted rate on a room, and we have even reserved a block of rooms to guarantee you availability.
  6. OK, I am still not getting any results regarding accomodation, well not results that I am looking for :-( so I apologise for that - I will keep working on it, but maybe need to vary my method.. Meanwhile however there is one establishment that is well placed for Crawley Town Centre, has very easy access to our event start point, and is easy to locate when travelling to it: Holiday Inn Express The Squareabout Haslett Avenue East, CRAWLEY, RH10 1UA ENGLAND, UK Email: reception@hiexpresscrawley.co.uk Phone: +44 (0)1293 525 523 If I do manage to get a response I am looking for (ie an event attendee discount), from any of the hotels best placed/priced for us I will let you guys know, but have to admit I have given up holding my breath for the moment.
  7. This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual. It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember. The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area aset aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started. The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered. Then there will be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive. There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForumns.com event when ordering. The only other cost for the day is the parking which is likely to be £3.20 for one hour, £5.20 for 2 hours, £10.40 for 4 hours or £15.60 for 11 hours (Brighton Council are reviewing the rates in April though ). CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes) The main meet will follow on from then with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free prize draw for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Not forgetting that this is your chance to meet up with all the people you know online, maybe advise them on any issues you have solved or figured and for others to help you out with any issues and to check out up to 100 Jaguars including the new Jaguar F-Pace AWD!! If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-) Convoy from Pease Pottage Services: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 Sport Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS Convertible Brian R 2011 XFR Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio Ian D 2006 XK Coupe NeilJ 2000 S-Type PabloJag1 XKR Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type Brent 2003 S-Type David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio Dre 2000 S-Type MuskieTwo 2004 XKR PaulJag 2001 S-Type 3.0 Sport PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 Mybrief 2003 S-Type Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR Haddock 1996 XJR Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe Wessex 2000 XJ8 3.2 Emerald Roger.Grote 2007 S-Type XS 2.7 Liquid Silver Stanboy 2005 S-Type 2.7 BigTel XFR-100 Judith & Fred Bone 1999 S-Type Alan Dyer 2000 Silver XKR Hugo 1976 XJC Mick Parker 2000 XK8 Adrian Lingard 2015 XE Presige 2.0 H2 JXE Neville Barker 1996 4.0 XJS Celebration Colin Shippey 2006 X-Type 2.2D Mark Stabler 1983 XJS Cabriolet Tim Jones 2000 XJ Sovereign 3.2 LWB Tried77 2015 F-Type with many mods TheMan 2005 XK8 4.2S CaptainHam 2016 F-Type Tim Jones 2000 XJ8 LWB Qwerty21 Daimler 5.3 V12 Coupe Total 43 cars Main Meet Event on Brighton Seafront: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 +1 (JaguarForums.com) Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR +1 (JaguarForums.com) Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 +1 (JaguarForums.com) HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS convertible +2 (JaguarForums.com) Brian R 2011 XFR + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ian D 2006 XK Coupe + 1 (JaguarForum.com) NeilJ 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) PabloJag1 2001 XKR + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Elvis (Smile57) 2007 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Brent 2003 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Premium Luxury + 1 (via email) Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED + 5 (via email) Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE + 2 (JaguarForum.com) DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio + 2 (JaguarForum.com) Dre 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) MuskieTwo 2004 XKR + 1 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 2001 S-Type 3.0 Sport + 3 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Mybrief 2003 S-Type +3 (JaguarForums.com) Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR + 1 (Facebook.com) Haddock 1996 XJR + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe + 2 (Facebook.com) WiltsXK (Phil) 2010 XK Convertible + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Wessex (Peter & Carole) 2000 XJ8 3.2 Emerald + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Roger.Grote 2007 S-Type XS 2.7 Liquid Silver + 1 (JaguarForums.com) Stanboy 2005 S-Type 2.7 + 2 (JaguarForum.com) BigTel XFR-100 + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Judith & Fred Bone 1999 S-Type + 2 (JEC & Weald Classic Vehicle Club) Alan Dyer 2000 XKR + 1 (via email) Hugo 1976 XJC + 2 (via email) Mick Parker 2000 XK8 + 2 (via email) Adrian Lingard 2015 XE Prestige 2.0 H2 JXE + 1 (via email) Neville Barker 1996 4.0 XJS Celebration + 1 (JEC) Colin Shippey 2006 X-Type 2.2D + 2 (JEC) Mark Stabler 1983 XJS + 2 (Facebook) Tim Jones 2000 XJ Sovereign 3.2 LWB + 1 (Facebook) Tried77 2015 F-Type - 8. A HUGE thankyou to everyone - sponsors, supporters, and attendees for getting us to this point! I can genuinely say that we have a guaranteed great Jaguar day ahead of us..
  9. OK, quite a bit has been happening this week, and it is only Tuesday so here is a quick summary of where we are at this moment in time.. We now have 45 Jaguars and 71 attendees, 12 official event sponsors, not one but two confirmed venues, fixed price breakfast booked, the parking charges are now known, We have discount codes, freebies, free prize draw, three companies onsite to meet everyone and answer all and any questions, banner signing for posterity, photo shoots by an event photographer professional, and EVEN 20% off your drinks at the first venue :-) We still need to see if we can achieve our target of 100 Jaguars, finalise accomodation arrangements for those travelling some distance to attend, follow up any last sponsorship leads etc., finish producing the Welcome Pack info, and we will be almost there :-)

  11. ALSO today, I have had a response from the Brighton & Hove Parking team regarding the pay and display parking rates. they say that we have to bear in mind that the charging rates may change in April, but currently we are looking at the following rates: 1 hour £3.20, 2 hours £5.20, 4 hours £10.40, and 11 hours £15.60. I realise this is quite steep, but there is little I can do about it this year - sorry :-( I will however look into raising either sponsorship to cover these costs or maybe an alternate venue for next year. Meanwhile I will continue working on everything else for this years event, in an effort to keep any other costs off the menu for everyone :-)
  12. OK guys, hot off the press - we now have the support of Pease Pottage Services (Moto Services) - we have 20% off all Costa purchases at Pease Pottage, and an indoor area set aside for us on the day - so when everyone arrives at Pease Pottage just head in, grab a coffee, Tea, or soft drink with 20% off and we will be distributing the free Welcome Packs etc etc indoors there prior to us heading down to Brighton seafront for the main event!

  14. Also as of this morning I have final confirmation from Brighton & Hove Highways Events team that Madiera Drive will be open and available to us on the day - just waiting on the Brigton & Hove Parking team to get back to me with the parking costs for the day.
  15. OK the first bit of news - I can now confirm that we are officially booked as a group for breakfast on the day :-) We are booked into the same restaurant that we used last year, which is the Harvester in Madiera Drive, Brighton ( Find & Contact Us ). They will have a fixed price (recommended) breakfast on offer at £4.99 plus drinks which can be bought individually at various prices or unlimited for £2.60 - just state when ordering your food that you are with the JaguarForums.com event. Overall the standard of the food, and speed of service was good last year so I am hoping for the same this year :-)
  16. This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual. It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember. There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc. If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. 20. OK things are on the move here - we are now listed on not three but four automotive forums - three Jaguar specific forums and one well known but not Jaguar specific forum!
  21. If we are able to raise 100 Jaguars this time round I can come up with a much, much snappier name for our future events, and can organise so much more for our 2017 event.. So lets see if we can do it and take our event to the next level! If you have held off signing up for this, not too sure if it is going to be the great Jaguar event it has been slated as being - it is genuinely going to be a fantastic and most importantly FREE Jaguar day out (apart for parking and fixed price breakfast costs) ideal for you, your Jaguar and your family so why not sign up now? We have made it easy to sign up too! You can pop a post on here, email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, tweet & follow us at @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet or even friend our facebook page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK Welcome to a great event - our Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet!!
  22. Ultimo have also confirmed that they are bringing an Ultimo branded vehicle along with a rep for all your questions on the day!!
