Got my second S-Type
Seriously! :) They're both mine :) She's a 1966 3.8 with the Manual Overdrive, most of the welding is done, she needs a bit of tidying up though on the bodywork. Got bits of paperwork going back to the 70s, and more importantly... She has a current MoT and I get to drive her :)

Premium sound system including free installation
I swapped the CD player at the front with a minidisc player, so you could easily do it the other direction. It comes off of the nav screen If you do I would definitely take the.minidisc player off your hands, I'd like to have a spare.

S Type stereo and phone
Aye, I know it can be retrofitted :) I was trying to point out that the original poster was looking for Bluetooth on his car, but due to being a 53 plate he would have had a physical handset in the armrest should the car have the phone option, unless of course a previous owner had been one of us lot that retrofit things like mad :)

Didn't Bluetooth come in 2004? My 53 plate has a phone but it is the built in unit in the armrest

sat nav disc x type s type 2012
An old topic now, but doing some Googling /eBay searches on the Part number in order to try and find a genuine disc, I have discovered that the above disc isn't even the 2011/12 disc!! It is a copy of the 2008/09 disc that has had the years edited before printing! Really dodgy!

Possible retro-fit
Still looking for the parts! :)

Fitting sat nav?
Strangely my satnav never displayed the messages in the message display area until I retrofitted Jaguarvoice....

I'll second that :) Very much looking forward to it! I may possibly be bringing 4 guests instead of two, but won't know for sure until the day

sat nav disc x type s type 2012
Well, the one I have been sent is definitely not right. I've attached a picture made up of three photographs. On the left, a genuine disc (seems a previous owner had updated to the 2008-2009 disc), on the right the one delivered. As can be seen the genuine disc has a glossy printed surface, the supplied disc has a flat matte surface consistent with a printable blank CD. The middle section shows the genuine disc on the left, this gold colour is consistent with a pressed disc created in a factory, the disc supplied is purple which is consistent with dye-based recordable media available to joe public. The supplied disc shows up as: Book Type: [DVD+R DL] - [ DVD-ROM] Manufacturer: [ Mitsubishi Kagaku Media ] Manufacturer ID: [MKM] To be fair this manufacturer ID is up in the top class of burnable media. And finally, on the right, the actual result. Not readable. In ten attempts at starting the car the supplied disc was recognised once, after a 25 second wait. The genuine disc is recognised immediately every time. So, there you go. Hopefully this post will be helpful for people. Essentially.......... Caveat Emptor :)
