  1. Cheers, I'll monitor it for now until I change the tyre next week.
  2. This comes on intermittently. When it first came on it was right as my front right was a bit low. However it still comes on now and there is nothing wrong with the tyre pressure. any ideas?
  3. My clock loses about a minute a month. Never known a digital clock to lose time before. is this a known fault does anyone know?
  4. That's settled. I'm going to get mine terracleaned. Thanks for info.
  5. Thanks for your reply Peter. Sadly I tried that and also 'restarting' the car. Luckily for me a neighbour tried and just as he was about to give up, Hey Presto, it opened! So off I went to the station without replacing it and filled it to the brim. I fear I may be back on here in a couple of weeks... Happy New Year All.
  6. Hi, Just been to petrol station and couldn't get the cap off my petrol tank. The door opens no probs but cap just 'clicks' if I force it. An attendant tried as well but with no success. I've had to come home and try again here but not working. I need to put fuel in to get somewhere in the morning. Do I call out the AA??? Thanks, Tom PS. Never had this problem before, filled it numerous times
  7. Wow, hats off for solving the problem. I would have knocked one of the walls down.
  8. Cheers for reply. So far so good, car running beautifully at the moment and no sign of the dreaded 'Restricted Performance'. Think I'll just keep driving it for a few months and hope for the best. As has been pointed out before, Jag garages will try and pick up on the most minor thing to get the car in for repair.
  9. Many Thanks for the replies. The injector cylinder no.4 is covered so that's something. The other things: Cat Converter leaking gas, Diaphram split - intake manifold, Gearbox sump leaking. Is it vital I get these other things done asap? or can I pick one off a month, would it be safe to drive? Tricky situation, I didn't buy it from an official jaguar garage, bought it from a very small dealership in north London. Not sure I have a leg to stand on as it was absolutely fine for 3k miles. Happy to go down legal route though if anyone thinks it's worth it. If I went down to place I bought it I'm sure they'd just laugh if I asked for my money back.
  10. Oh God! absolute nightmare, Jaguar reckon it needs 5 grands worth of work, no way warranty will cover it all, think I've been done.
  11. Had the codes read and it is showing fault with no.4 injector cylinder. Booked in with Jaguar next week, hopefully it's covered under my warranty!!!
  12. Service didn't sort it. passed MOT no problem, but it's getting worse! I get beeps and even a motorcyclist stopped next to me in traffic and said, "You've got a load of sh it coming out the back of your car mate." Car runs fine but it's embarrassing, especially on school run when I'm polluting all the kids walking past.
  13. I've got the same problem, how does one diagnose a leaky injector? Cheers
  14. Hi, I have no idea if it's easy to remove the unit/flappy things, but I have dropped coins down there in the recent past. I managed to get them out with tweezers and also found some other old papers etc. Best of luck removing them
  15. It does with mine as well now, I was trying to be a bit too clever I think. Happy Days, I now have all radio stations back and can listen to my music through my phone

Recently did a run to Swansea from London. 202 miles, 80% of which was about 88 mph on cruise control. 41.2mpg for the trip and 185 miles of the 'range' used. Delighted with that!
  17. Just a quick update, I checked the coolant and it was below the minimum line so did some research, spoke to the guy in Halfords (I know, maybe I should have gone to a jag garage) who assured me I was buying the right type. It looked the same colour as well. Anyway I topped it up with about 1L and low and behold I've not seen any 'stuff' come out of the exhaust. BUT! Intermittantly now - on runs of over 20 mins - the dreaded 'Reduced Performance' message appears. the car doesn't seem to be running at a reduced performance but it's a bit worrying as I'm due to do a 250 mile run on Saturday. Should I be worried? Cheers
  18. To play music through? I've noticed that the Google maps sat nav sound comes through the speakers but I'm guessing that's through Bluetooth? Is the technology there to play music through Bluetooth does anyone know?
  19. I use it everyday. Yeah, nothing to worry about, service in a couple of weeks, hopefully that sorts it out. Thanks for your help

So only used 200 miles of 300 range estimate? that's very good
  21. Hi, I think it's clear water, the longer I'm in a traffic jam the worse it gets. Not topped up water at all, maybe slip into neutral more when in a jam?
  22. Yes, I thought that, although in one instance, I'd just done an hour of over 70 on the motorway, then was stuck for 30 mins going 2 miles. Bit worrying. Thanks
  23. Hi, only had XF about a month, love it so far and had no problems. However, when I'm stuck in traffic, I notice loads of steam (?) coming out of the exhaust. When the road clears then it's fine. is this normal or is there anything I can do to stop this? Thanks.
  24. Very kind thanks. I don't have an iPod, happy with CD's really, the main thing I miss is MW radio R5, talksport etc. I have music on my iPhone 6 which I'd like to play through car system but not essential.
