  1. Hi Neil

P00BF diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means that there is a problem with the Mass or Volume Air Flow (MAF) "B" sensor circuit.. That letter denotes either part of the sensor or circuit, or even a single MAF sensor if the vehicle has more than one.

Or might be  either (a) cracked manifold  or (b) sticking turbo actuator.

It could be Turbo Actuator as I had that on mine Could not get over 60 and it dropped down rapidly up hill, but fine at lower speeds / gears

    Regards,

    Julie.

  2. Found this may be of help

    CAUSES

    • Faulty Engine Mount 'A'
    • Engine Mount 'A' harness is open or shorted
    • Engine Mount 'A' circuit poor electrical connection

It means that the wire(s) connected from and to the component (sensor, solenoids, actuator, etc.) is either open (cut, broken, disconnected) or shorted (touching other wires, components, body). "Open" and "short" are common electrical terms. An open is a break in a wire or at a connection. A short is an accidental connection of the wire to ground or another wire.
In simple electronics, this usually means something won't work at all. With complex electronics (such as ECMs or PCMs) this can sometimes mean something works, but not the way it's supposed to.

How is the P0A14 code repair?

Start by checking the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.

  3. Hi Cindy,

Your from a beautiful part of the world. Great place to enjoy a drive.

Your Jaguar sounds stunning in that beautiful red color.

I was attracted to cars at an early age too.

One of my teachers had a Daimler, it was gorgeous, I used to wait by the gate to see her drive it in.

There are some very knowledgeable people on here who can help answer questions.

    Best Regards,

    Julie.

  4. I can see your a real enthusiast, taking on rebuilds yourself 👍

I admire anyone who restores and saves these old beauty`s

    Yes its incurable I know!

I do love the American cars too. The shapes of those old classics are so cool and all that chrome looks wonderful 😍

I particularly like the Buick Riviera

Also the benefit of much simpler engines to work on, none of those masses of electronics to go wrong as on the newer cars.

Your right about the old Jags workmanship and build - that's quality alright.

The two things I like about Jaguars and the old American cars Style and comfort - to me no new cars now have the same appeal

Well sounds like you live in the right place to work undisturbed

Where I live in Wales my city friends think is quiet but you have real peace and quiet must be great.

    Thanks for posting the photos

    Cheers,

    Julie.

  5. Hi,

Thank you. I had the work done, Air Con making noise from engine compartment and blowing cold, pump replaced and re gas.

Turned out was not glow plugs - that was chap I  bought it off - he said his mechanic had told him that's what it was.

    It was the Turbo actuator.
