Well i have tried all avenues with Jaguar and they are the most devious slippery lot that one could ever meet. They still insist that the bumps and thumps emanating from the rear (caused by fuel surge) are "an operating charactestic" and are applicable to ALL XF models, repeat ALL XF models. Strange that when first reported to Jaguar they were at a loss to give a reason suggesting that the fixing pads on the fuel tank were suspect. When i pursued the issue over a period of months, all of a sudden Abracadbra, out of the hat came the best excuse i have heard since Ford produced the model T Oh it's an operating characteristic, so go away and live with it. Something a back street under the arches dealer called Arthur Daly would have been proud of. As soon as it is financialy possible i will go back to my old marque BMW,now there really is a car and the best back up service ever
