This has probably been asked before but I can't find it on a search. My jag is a 2.2 sport with equivalent 57 plate and a friend says that it is a Mondeo engine and not a Jaguar engine. Is he correct? Quite frankly I don't care but it is good to be armed with information. Thanks

Mick I had the same problem a few weeks ago and IANSAN posted a set of instructions for reprogramming the fobs. I followed them to the letter and it worked a treat. I copied his instructions for you 1 Open drivers door 2 Turn ignition switch to position 1 then to 2 four times. You will hear a chime. 3 Turn the ignition off and remove the key 4 Press a key on the key fob within ten seconds (unlock is a good one) You should hear a chime 5 If you want any other key fobs programmed just press a button and listen for the chime. Max of four can be programmed. 6 Close the door 7 Check to see if it has worked. Good luck

Today i fitted new calipers on the rear of my estate however it wasn't straightforward because the wrong part number was initially ordered by mistake. Is there a reference list of part numbers that i can refer to when ordering new parts? Ken

Just completed my first road trip with my 2.2 D jag. Such a smooth ride with great handling. The mpg would have been above 50 instead of 49.9 but i spent about 100 miles out of 500 driving in the Wicklow Mountains. 500 miles on 3/4 tank is fantastic by my normal standards in my Discovery 2 :).

Hi, I have just bought a 2007 2.2 estate and it is in lovely condition. However, one of the key fobs just stopped working yesterday and it was not much fun in the car park. The other key fob works so I was able to drive home. I inserted new batteries in each key fob but still the fob doesn't work with the car. The faulty fob transmits but just doesn't talk to the car. I did a quick search about possibly pairing the key fob again to the car but each version on the internet tells me a slightly different approach regarding the procedure. I would be grateful if someone could give me the exact steps to pair the key fob again. Thanks

HI, I have just joined after buying my first Jaguar - a 2007 x-type estate 2.2 sport. Drove Landrovers for last 15 years so this is quiet a change for me. Will post pics later.
