Hi all,
Jag due MOT on the 27th and I need to sort out the washer bottle pump or it'll fail!
Im looking on autodata at fuse locations.... theres a "facia" fuse box. - Anyone know where this is ?
I need to check the fuses for the washer bottle pump.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the info all, yes it is a brilliant car and I rejoice in the power and speed of the thing!
Im not moaning about fuel per se, just making sure there isnt an under lying issue. Car is due MOT on the 27th and hopefully will sail though.
Thanks all...
I do love my S Type!!

Hi all,
I have a generic code reader bought off of eBay a while back.. made by vgate.
For some reason I cant get mine to connect to the ECU... or it least I think thats the problem. Code reader works fine on my Citroen. I am using the torque tool on my phone to connect to OBD2 with Ignition on in car to AC. I get the icons in the top left flashing but thats it when plugged into Jag.
Tried my bosses OBD2 scanner... exactly the same one and his works... albeit i didnt try it on my phone i did it form his.
Do I need certain settings to be able to connect to the Jag via torque pro ? OBD Car doctor app is the one I use for the Citroen and that works perfect. I cant get Torque to connect with my Citroen either.
My EML has come on again.
Thanks in Advance

Hey all, noticed something really cool this morning, fuel needle dropped to hitting just about the red mark, was like that for a while. Then all of a sudden it went up to a quarter of a tank!
What A CAR!!! :)

Most of my driving is around town with little urban, due to trafic lights, road works. trafic jams etc I am lucky if I get 15mph. But what a drive.
Stan.
Very true Stan, it is one heck of a motor it turns heads and when I do put my foot down that roar from the engine at about 3000 to 5000 rpm... what a noise...

Hmmmmmmmm.. Fair enough!
I just thought I'd get to the 200 mile mark on a full tank lol
Thanks

Hi all,
Filled up last weekend... Have been doing various trips. Mostly round town at 30-40 MPH but some out of town... 50-60-70 MPH roads... Mainly steady away driving... I usually only put my foot down on the motorways. So only light driving.
I've done barely 200 miles.... 187.8 to be precise...
And I'm having to fill up! Fuel low light has come on.
Didnt realize the 3.,0 would be so thirsty!

What should a 3.0 V6 give m.p.g wise at 70 mph?
I was getting between 28 and 38 MPG
-
nope definately not a standard thing, mine has no optional extras as far as I can see.
-
AHhh shame I dont have crusise control then, has had a recent service but wont hurt to stick some red ex through.
Thanks all.

Hi all,
I was hoping my 3.0 V6 wouldnt so thirsty... a 200 mile trip up north and back has used nearly 3 quarters of a tank!
I thought... correct me if Im wrong but between 70-80 MPH the revs would be about 1 and a half... I was sitting at 2... 2 and a half, thought the revs would of been a bit lower saving me a bit of fuel and not having to accelerate as much ?
Thanks all.

Seems to play them fine but can hear the ticking in the background... does it on originals too. Maybe lazer is starting to go home.

I have a tape player in the front, CD Changer in boot. Don't need steering wheel controls as havent got those,
I burnt a new Maxell CD this morning and it skips on every track.

Hi all,
thinking of changing my radio in the Jag, I have a brand new Pioneer in my Citroen which I'm hoping will go in the jag, Ill need a kit similar to the one below i'm guessing

CD Changer in the jag is skipping on brand new CD's - my real question is though How do I remove the current stock fitted radio ?
Anyone any ideas ?
Thanks in advance
-
Found it - havent removed it yet as I havent had chance.
I have one of these..

Ive tried torque pro but for some reason wont connect communicate with the car!
-
Chris. Could be anything? But take your maf sensor out and give it a clean, it's a start
Found the MAF will remove later on.... easy fix if it is that! no way of telling without codes!

I've just been to try again to no avail... my phone is paired and my obd2 device works in my Citroën thought I'd try to make sure it's not faulty. . Jump in the jag plug it in try to connect I've used 4 different apps torque..obd doctor. .fash connect and another one obdfacile I think it's called.. they all connect to my device but can't connect to ecu. Have tried with engine running and just ignition on.
Eml has come on since I took car for a blast down motorway at 80 mph... parked up at supermarket and bing light comes on.
-
Got it, still wont connect.. it connects to my reader but then I get error cannot find protocol...
Id really like to find out why the EML has come on... no loss of power or anything.
-
is that an android app ? I have a bluetooth reader and usually use my phone to acecss to codes..
-
Tried it with ignition on and engine running, the program I use free OBD Car doctor goes through its method of searching, With Test Protocol and it hangs on protocol 7.
What app is everyone else using ?
Thanks
