Hubs = Wheel Bearings?

brake shudder
If it was the wheel hubs, wouldn't you still have problems even with new discs and pads ?? After my discs and pads were replaced the last time, everything was fine, but it only lasted about 3 weeks. I've just had the front suspension legs and wishbones (!!) replaced, so I'm wondering if these are causing the issue and the next disc & pads replacement might be fine.

Similar problem with my S-Type as well. Had new discs and pads fitted by dealer back in November, but had to have them replaced just over a month ago as they were warped (according my local Halford's) - getting steering wheel wobble under breaking. Only done 5000 miles and I'm getting the same problem, so looks like something is causing this. May need a trip to the Jaguar garage, as Halford's aren't sure what the problem could be and are reluctant to replace them again for free.

Headlamp Washers
After having owned my S-Type for a close to 5 months now, I have only just realised that the headlamp washers don't function. I have the washer "flaps" on the from, but they never seem to operate. Getting to the underside/back of them seems difficult to say the least. Is there a "how to" guide anywhere relating to headlamp washers please ?? Thanks.

RPM= SPEED
I thought about your post as I drove on the motorway today. I was doing 70 at 2000 revs. 90 at 2500 revs [emoji6]

245/40/18 tyres
I've always purchased Nexen when replacing tyres. I understand that they also make the ArrowSpeed budget tyres.

You have got to be having a laugh
Isn't that only necessary if you're having emission problems though ?? My S-Type has just clocked up it's 124,000th mile and no smoke out of the exhaust, so I'm in two minds as to whether to get it done or not. Might wait for the MOT which is due in June. Welcome Keeny.

Gearbox transmission oil change
No particular reason, other than it's done 123,000 miles now, so thought it might benefit from one. MPG is around 38 mpg on a long motorway run. Would you not recommend it then ?? It's due an MOT in June, but I've never seen any smoke coming out of the exhaust. All advise is appreciated.

Fault Codes (again)
Sorry for asking the same question that many others have asked, but is there a definitive list somewhere that would cover all of the fault codes on a Jaguar (S-Type) please ?? My car broke down on the motorway this morning and the AA found the following codes: P0341 P0342 P1336 P033500 I've been to my local Jaguar dealer, but they have a 3 week waiting list for diagnostics !! The car did start when the AA arrived and has been fine ever since, doing the return 55 mile journey without issue. Once the answer is found, perhaps a MODERATOR can create a new POST and PIN it somewhere. Many thanks in advance.

Bluetooth connectivity
So better than the in-built Jaguar BT system ??

Bluetooth connectivity
I thought that was the case :) Thanks Andrew.

Bluetooth connectivity
Hi Tigger. You say you don't have BT in your car, but then you say "Pairing with your existing Jag Stereo is simplicity itself". Do you mean actual pairing, as in BT pairing, or just tuning the device into the car's stereo ?? Thanks in advance

That site doesn't exist - I think you meant www.scratchshield.co.uk

Electric Parkbrake
Yes, I'm in the AA. I'll get the battery checked, but it looks fairly new. Thanks for the suggestions.

Electric Parkbrake
Thanks guys. Changing jobs in a couple of weeks, which will include a daily 200 mile round-trip, so hopefully it will be OK. So not worth taking it to a Jaguar dealer for the time being ??

Electric Parkbrake
Damn! It happened again this morning, although I was away in under 5 minutes :) Could this be a low battery issue ?? I ask, as I currently only do about 3 miles each way to the station in the dark, with heater and HRW and HFW on, so wondering if it's battery affecting. The engine starts OK, so I'm unsure. Any suggestion on what needs replacing if not the battery please ? Thanks.

Electric Parkbrake
Thanks for posting Pete. I've just gone out to my car this morning (06:30) and have found exactly the same issue, plus GearBox Fault. Once it's light enough to see, I'll follow your instructions.

Key Fob, being very silly, and annoying!
I changed the batteries in both of my fobs the other week and didn't have to re-programme them. Neither will turn the front lights now though, but that's not a major problem.

Thanks for sorting this out Steve.

Hi Steve, I've just PM'd you on a separate note, but others may also have the same issue. I'm trying to turn off the email notification of new posts on threads I follow, but it's been disabled by the Administrator: Any chance of allowing users to turn this off please, as I'm getting loads of emails each day from the forums. Thanks.
