I think I already know the answer to this question, but I thought I'd ask in case I've missed something :) With the bog-standard Jaguar Entertainment System, is there a way of playing audio from your phone via Bluetooth? Calls aren't a problem, but I have loads of music on my phone that I'd like to play in the car. My previous car had the option, but I don't believe the S-Type can do it. Thanks in advance.

I concur. I have had multiple diesels over the last 10-15 years and predominantly used supermarket fuel, without any issue. I've been using the same in my S-Type since purchasing it.

That's great information, thanks. I did come across this short YouTube video on how to remove the door skin. https://youtu.be/PIl_Fsy7BUk I got a second-hand strap off of eBay earlier for a tenner, as I didn't realise they would have been that cheap at a dealer.

Has anyone replaced a door check strap on their S-Type, or know how to do it please?? The check strap on my driver's door has broken and I'd like to replace it ASAP. Seen a few second-hand ones for sale on eBay for around £15. Thanks :)

I normally replace my tyres with NEXEN tyres. Very hard wearing and pretty good for a budget tyre. I've priced them up for my S-Type and they're about the same price as your Goodride tyres. I also have 245/45/17 tyres, but that seems to be the correct ones according to the details on the right-hand A pillar.

Perhaps the GPS tracker in the car is faulty? Is it worth having a dealer looking at it?

Day 2 and the return journey went without a hitch, including a stop half-way. Something must have been affected by the rain yesterday, as today we drove home in the dry. Also, at 47mpg, it was a pleasant trip. Hopefully the OBD2 device arrives soon.

Just been on a 100 mile run (mainly motorway and in the rain) and stopped for a break, but when I returned to the car to continue my journey, the car wouldn't start and I got RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE displayed. I turned ignition off and on a few times and eventually it started and drove without issue for another 60 miles. Left it half an hour and had the same issue again trying to start it. After turning off/on several times, it started again. Only had the car a few weeks and not seen this before. I understand this is a long shot, but anyone any idea what is causing this please? Will have to get it to a garage when I get home on Monday. Thanks.

Sounds like we both bought our first Jaguar cars around the same time :) I've had my S-Type for just over 2 weeks now. I've always wanted one, but never thought I'd get one. I have the 2.7 Diesel model as well. It's done just over 118K miles, but there's not a hint of smoke from the exhaust, but it's so powerful when needed. For what I paid for it, it's an excellent car, it just needs a bit of TLC. -
I understand why there are adverts, but is there a level of paid membership that removes them please? I use the mobile theme on my phone almost all of the time and I get large adverts top and bottom of the page, which is really annoying. Also, is there a different mobile theme available please, as the current dark theme is sometimes hard to read. I moderate on several other IPS forums and I think they use the default mobile theme. Thanks.
