  2. Sold the XF and moved on to an Evoque, hence the reason I've not been around here for a while. I do have two part worn tyres for sale, obviously now surplus to requirements. Listed on ebay here (245/40 ZR19 98Y Pirelli P-Zero Part worn Tyre, 5-6mm tread) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/317305208359 and here: (245/40 ZR19 98Y FALKEN FK520 Azenis Part worn Tyre 5-6mm tread) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/317305217833 For what it's worth I found the Falken handling and grip to be very impressive, on a par with the Pirelli when I had to swap two of the P-Zeros out. £45 each for members only, COD, Blackpool area, collect or will deliver within 20 mile radius of Blackpool (so Fylde, Wyre, Preston basically) Easily worth this so no further offers please. Thanks. Note, also have a carbon fibre boot spoiler in excellent condition, haven't thought about pricing/listing this yet, but cost me £180.
  3. I have a water leak coming from the back of the engine , my local garage says it’s an engine out job , any thoughts ? It’s an 08 2.7 luxury

  6. Thank you for your replies, both helpful and appreciated. Is this what I'm after ? Beyond fault monitoring and seat module calibrating, what else can it do (or is that a silly question) Thanks again
  7. Hello Sorry I have only just seen your post. Have you checked the switches. I had a similar problem I bought three seat units and it still wouldn’t work. I decided to have the switches looked at and they found a rusted connection. I think I still have a seat module somewhere. If you have the serial number of yours I will check it. Andy
  8. N6 jmx Thank you for your help, the main rear light is my problem, I’m sorry I didn’t make that clear. I forgot the light on the boot that joins with rear light when shut. I have seen inside a rear light on YouTube and they are individual led’s soldered to a different thin circuit plate. They can be removed individually. If I can’t get details of the correct led I will have to open the light I think. Once again thank you for taking the time to help. Andy
  9. Hi Alan, unfortunate damage to your sump, but becoming more prevalent as our roads network continues to deteriorate - and its only going to be getting worse. For a suitable replacement engine, speak to the good folks at Auto Reserve or Eurojag, easily found by an online search, but if you have trouble finding them, come back here for more help. N6 JMX

  12. Hi Lez, I agree with John above. My own Jaguar has been under warranty from new - Jaguar extended - and it is definitely a "peace of mind" thing. I reckon had I followed John's advice, I would be quid's in by now, but once you are in the warranty cycle, it is very difficult to step off it. N6 JMX
  13. @Mr Singh Yes, I think you would need to change the CCF to enable the heated steering wheel. There seems to be a PARAM_CCF_STEERING_WHEEL_HEATED in the CCF and PARAM_CCF_EUCD_HEATED_STEERING_WHEEL in the EUCD CCF that would probably need enabling.
  14. Hi If its fuel related it might not cause any fault codes Have you changed the fuel filter and checked the gasket on the cover, possible cause
  15. Hello. I am new to Jaguar and this club, living in North Hampshire. I have a 2017 XF 2.0 D, Recently need timing chain replacement including upgrade to prevent a recurrence. Fortunately covered by dealer warranty. Prior to negotiating the repair I funded a test £200 + vat) on a main dealer rig to know for sure if new chain was needed. Result was clear. Engine now sounds better and seems a bit more responsive. Sorry this may not be of any real help to you, but the failed test result came with dire warnings of possible outcomes if the job was not done. I expect you are aware of these. All the Best and Regards, Brian C

  21. Hi Daniel, I have a 3.0 sovereign X type and I think good ones are getting quite hard to get hold of .Mine has the manual gearbox which makes it fun and quite fast to drive if the urge should strike. (Not that the need for speed hits me very often !).Lovely cars, welcome aboard.😀
  22. Hi cheapest place for CATS dampers is usually Moss Europe. you could swap them, but obviously you will lose the active damping, also you will get regular cats damping faults on you dash and warning light, also when they go into fault, the dampers default to hard, so your new normal fronts ones will be usually medium to soft ride and the rear shocks will be stuck in hard, so you would have to replace all 4 shocks, then ideally need the cats coded out with software, or you could connect resistors to the connector at the top of the shock to fool it to think there still connected, this also may effect how the car handles. if you need any workshop manuals look here http://www.jagrepair.com/ cheers Joe

  24. I need a new rear left hand wing, part number FNC3321AA. If anyone is sitting on two new front wings I might also be interested. Thanks, Alek
  25. I found a great guy today and sorted all but the front chrome trim. The car should be in the bodyshop soon 😀
  26. Press the lock/arm button on the fob rapidly about 6-10 times. Also if you have a spare key, check whether it will start with that, it's not unknown for a key with an RFID chip inside for the immobiliser to "lose" it's code and cease to operate the immobiliser disarm. Are you able to read the DTCs at all?
  27. I came across Suffolk Sportscars (as i think they were called then) some 35 years ago when their range was just the one model, think it was a D Type replica or similar. First time i've seen one of their SS100 models and first knowledge i had of that model reincarnation. Beautiful to see and learn of its existence though.
  28. thank you i have nothing not even a click when i try to operate the roof, it was working fine as were the blinds before it went to workshop, they asked if it was working i said yes but never tested it till i was home, he had an obd reader on it and said no roof module detected, i assumed he had re programmed it, the garage is 2 hours away or i would take it back, i will check the plug on the fan to see it it is loose or indeed not plugged in and let you know again thanks for the suggestions
  29. I thought an update may be in order. I took the "dodgy" risk of not locking the car whilst it was on the boat, it I believed worked, we sailed through the remnants of Storm Bernard it was a bit (ok very!) bumpy and the old girl fired up when we got to port. On return I could hear a lot of alarms going of, though not ours. Yipee Thanks for all the suggestions
