  3. Hi everyone, I have the following codes showing in conjunction with the heater not blowing warm air. B1262 Defrost servo motor circuit failure B1263 Vent servo motor circuit fault B1239 Air flow blend door actuator circuit fault I’m familiar with a lot of threads about blend door actuators/stepper motors etc and I can see the actuators without pulling all the dash board out. Yes maybe there’s a tooth broken or an actuator has failed or a blend door is stuck. Before I hang upside down with the back of head resting on the brake pedal swearing profusely ….. What I’d like to know, if anyone has experience of these codes together, is, Is it certain that there’s a mechanical failure or could it be simply a broken or frayed wire somewhere ? If so how can I identify where ? Has a mechanical failure led to these circuit faults or is perhaps one circuit fault that explains the three codes ? Thanks for reading Paul
  4. Jagroid seems the best option particularly if you want to keep all the original charm too. However you can replace the whole unit all together with an after market set up from China. I’ve used a supplier via AliExpress called EKIY to convert combined stereo and climate control units in three different modern classics. In each case I bought complete plug and play units that also replaced the heater controls and part of the dash. That gave me sat nav, Phone, AirPlay and Android touch screen controls, integrated reverse cameras and 6 Birds Eye cameras plus tyre pressure sensors via Bluetooth and of course WiFi and internet. One of them also connected to rear headset screens. The whole package in each car came to between £300 and £500. They asked me for photos first in the case of the Mitsubishi to make sure I got the precise set up connections. The Audi and Honda were simpler but I was surprised how good the communication was before and after purchase. It was only after buying my X Type Sovereign that I realised it had Jaguar voice control, sat nav and Bluetooth phone connection and that took all of about five minutes to configure. I love the originality, I’ve even bought CD’s again. Consequently I’m not going to change my set up. Much as I like gadgets (and they were a huge advantage when selling the cars) I never sat in the back, never watched a video or looked at a website while sat in my car and I still have a tyre pressure gauge in the glove box lol. I certainly never needed to see a continuous view of my car from above 😂 But “whatever floats your boat”. The buyers were in awe of it all.
  5. Hi Richard, good on you. Here's hoping you can get the problems resolved and another great car back on the roads. N6 JMX
  6. Hi everyone I am Richard and have just got a 2006 S-Type 2.7 Diesel. Wasn't a planned buy but the owner was desperate to get shut of it as it has faults and he'd got sick of throwing money at it, and his local garages wouldn't touch it so he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I'm an extremely enthusiastic amateur mechanic with, even if I say so myself a pretty good setup and the tools and equipment to do most tasks and am also used to completely stripping and rebuilding cars so I figured I'd give it a go. Plus as a UK national living in the Black Forest in Germany I felt somewhat honour bound to try to rescue the poor thing ;0) I usually work on older cars but actually work in software for a large auto manufacturer so figured it would also be a good opportunity to get to work on something more modern than usual.
  7. Cheers mate..i'll check it out. Scott.
  8. could be a sensorthe most likely culprit is a faulty washer fluid level sensor. This sensor, located within the washer fluid reservoir, may be malfunctioning and sending an incorrect signal to the dashboard. To resolve this, you'll need to have the sensor tested and replaced if necessary. or thermostat related
  9. So I thought I would use this as a journal of my new journey in the Jaaaaag. She is nothing short of a masterpiece, I’ve never driven anything like it, the engine is quiet but deadly, great mpg, everything works (mostly) and I’m very impressed. now for the mostly part. when I bought it I knew the air suspension fault was on there, luckily someone at work has a diagnostic tool and found it was the plausibility issue c2303 which should be the compressor. The ride heights are good in all corners although she will be sat for a few days now so hopefully will still be the case. Yesterday my key fob wouldn’t open the car and the alarm went off, didn’t know you start the car straight away to make sure it doesn’t, I only have 1 key. I took the fob to timpsons to have another battery put in, but the fob is corroded and probably glued in to keep it together, so it couldn’t be done. I have bought another shell with new fob, I’m thinking that I can programme the new fob which I read how to do, and move the key and chip onto the new shell. any ideas if that wouldn’t work, the chip and key are together on the top half of the key, so transplanting it onto the new shell should work. apart from those so far so good, the wife finally likes it but still thinks I’m having my mid life crisis.

  17. Hi Vinny, there are currently 9 Mk2 variants listed for sale in another classic Jaguar Forum site, follow the link below: jec.org.uk/classifieds/index.php?page=cars-for-sale&category=1594 N6 JMX
  18. You do know that you have posted these items for sale in a Jaguar General tab, which is a bit strange since there is a "Jaguar Marketplace" section further down the Forum. One more post in the General section and your post disappears from the headline view and I doubt anyone is going to look in a General tab for any items that might be for sale. Suggest you repost in the Marketplace section, where people would look. N6 JMX
  19. I put a new shifter box in The only way I can take the vehicle out of park is by hitting the silver button, I don’t know what it’s called but I have pictures for reference Refer to pic number 1 Then when I first took the console apart I realized that a sensor was unplugged which I believe could be the initial problem to why I can’t go into other gears without the silver button, is this supposed to hook up anywhere? Refer to pic number 2 I tried basic things like unplugging and plugging the battery, unplugging the dsc fuse and plugging it back in to maybe reset it after putting the new shifter in. All I know is I got back in my car and as I noticed the DSC system fault, ever since it wouldn’t let me shift gears. Any suggestions?
  20. I’m interested in the same. Did you get this to work?
