  1. Past hour
  2. That's good enough for me, as it just looks good, My partner is having her nails done on Sat morning so I will be going with her to get the colours of my choice. I do not know why Green and Orange are the colours on an XKR, do you or anyone else know? I am a bit patriotic and will be going for Red and Blue, but I am told you can buy nail varnish in these colours. I will post a shot Spyderromeo

  4. Found this, hope it helps; To remove the 2007 Jaguar S-Type front grille, you need to unlatch the hood, then locate and remove two nuts/bolts at the top rear of the grille assembly. After removing the fasteners, you must unclip the plastic tabs that project from the rear of the grille frame by gently easing them outwards. With the nuts, bolts, and tabs disengaged, the entire grille can be removed from the car
  5. My 2007 car horn is not working. I purchased a second hand horn which worked but having trouble removing the grill so I can fit the horn I have removed the 2 bolts at the top but it seems to be a push fit as no screws are showing. Am I correct.
  6. It seems that the fuel tank sender float is not working. It needs replacing . Make sure its the right length when you buy.
  7. This is what it looked like after applying nail varnish, you need a steady hand though 🙂

  9. Thanks Chaps, I'll check them out, also thank you for the advice. Regards Paul
  10. My Revell model enamel came off 3 days later in a car wash I will try nail varnish ! I have found I can get pearlescent red and dayglow blue at my local nail studio. They are very convenient they keep the same hours as Turkish Barbers and open are 7 days a week. But I will try Nail Varnish let you know if it works for me. Spyderromeo
  11. Hi Jim Yep there are loads and loads of posts about this little baby, and it seem like everybody has had a go at it in one way or another. But loads of failures. I am going to try the close all the vents try to build up pressure (not sure where from) also I have also ordered a endoscope from Temu £14.88 colour 4.31 inch screen how can we compete with that !! and if the air pressure doesn't work I will try the scalpel on the end of a pencil method, there are also some methods which use silicon liquid or gel but you need adult verification to use this method. As an aside (I just received a 12 piece 1/2 socket set just to fit my torque wrench from Temu the quality is good, not snap-on good but it has a good ratchet, 10 sockets up to 24mm, and a extension piece, and it came in a metal case including postage for £5.81, and was here in 4 days). Brand new special offer you can buy a brand new SpaceX rocket to take you to the moon for just over £50 !! Who would be in manufacturing. Will let you all know what works best (may take a week of two). Spyderromeo
  12. welcome to the fold pal
  13. Welcome to the forum Tommy, enjoy.😊
  14. Thanks mate, just picked the jag back up after it had the front passenger door lock actuator replaced. Got it home locked the car to find that now the drivers door is no longer locking (which it was before), im starting to think that it could be the bcm rather than the lock actuators.
  15. Have a look on eBay for part number MNC1490AH. Aftermarket being a lot cheaper than the originals.
  16. Welcome aboard Tommy!
  17. If we are talking about the 'R' badge, mine was missing its orange at the top, see picture. I managed to match this colour with one of the wife's many different nail varnishes at it worked a treat and as its enamel paint it will last for ages
  18. You could also look at SNG Barrett's website as they hold large stocks of parts for these cars. SNG Barratt UK | Keeping your Jaguar on the road N6 JMX
  19. Hello all, 1st time jag owner here. I collected my 2014 xfs 3.0 sportbrake portfolio just a few weeks ago, it has been back to the garage already as it turns out the bcm was corrupt and it has the dreaded failed door lock actuator too 🤣 all covered on warranty thankfully! Apart from that i am absolutely loving the car! Anyway thought i would introduce myself, im Tommy, also known as the ADHD Fishkeeper (yes diagnosed and not one of them that claims they are but never seen a professional) on tiktok. Im 33 and from the yorkshire area, im looking forward to learning as much as possible from the forums and even meeting some of you at any of the jaguar events.
  20. I had my 2015 X250 3.0D S serviced this week. When I got in the car today, the "Low Washer Fluid" warning came on and I immediately thought of the well known fault where a leaking washer pump can ruin the car's electrics by leaking water onto the ECU. I tried to check the actual level of the water but despite my best efforts couldn't see the level - is there any way of checking the actual washer water level, just in case it is the sensor that has failed rather than the water level actually being low? Also, am I right in saying that the ECU that can become corroded by the water leaking, is the one behind the removable door to the right of the accelerator pedal? I checked this and as far as I can tell it's all bone dry. Mine is one of the very last X250s, produced in mid April 2015 and the VIN is later than the one mentioned in the Jaguar America bulletin on this issue so in the past I've assumed won't suffer this well known fault but on reflection, I think it's worth me booking the car into a specialist that knows of this problem to get it checked and to go for the spliced wire modification - even if my car is a later one which wasn't affected, I think the mod is worth doing for piece of mind. I'll also ask if they can check if the washer pump is leaking and whether any water has got into the ECU area so they can dry it out. Am I right in thinking that the battery doesn't need to be disconnected to do the wire mod? Many thanks in advance.

  22. Try looking for a Nissens brand on ebay for your car Paul - they manufacture most of the aftermarket (and many OEM) radiators. They may not have an uprated version but that's not necessarily a bad thing! If you have an excessively large volume of cold coolant in the rad when the 'stat opens, this can cause other, very expensive, problems.
  23. I'm looking to replace my leaking radiator and would like recommendations to get an uprated aluminium replacement to improve the heating/cooling. At the moment i can't get a Jaguar replacement due to the JLR hack, so any suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers Paul
  24. Body panels still available
  25. Try mark at jagrar he currently has a few s types he is breaking so may have a good condition seal
