Hi all members. Dave signing in as a newbie.

For 4 years I had an X type but have now updated to an XF luxury. Very pleased with it.

I have been using it quite a bit on long trips on motorways and also do quite a bit on the country roads around where I live in the Abergavenny area.

No problems so far except that the SatNav is still in 2010 mode so occasionally I get to roads that are no longer there or have been rerouted!! I can live with that though and it adds to the fun.

Overall delighted though and glad to be a member of the club. post-5734-0-30483500-1412765718_thumb.jp

Welcome to the Club, David.

The club is a very friendly club with people who love and enjoy the cars they own and drive.

You can get a map update   ---  I got one for my S type for £30 from SatNav updates which is a 2012/3 version, the last made for the S type.  It did tell me once that I had arrived at my destination, and I had, but it was 50 yards away and I was on the M6 having passed the exit I needed three miles away!

Regards,

Peter.

David ,

Welcome, my chav nav is fab, no problems.

Which part of Monmouthshire are you from? I was brought up in Risca and went to Ponllanfraith ( excuse spelling) Grammar School.

The XF is a fab car isn't it? I'm sure you'll be more than pleased with it.

ATB,

Trevor

Croeso Dewi, I'm up the road in Penderyn A4059 Hammonds Test Track. We shall have to meet up at the Story Arms one fine day and have a blast, Pistonhead members (South Wales) do it regulary

I need to update the Sat Nav in mine also, I'm sure it will only be the cost of a disc so I would be happy to split the cost
