Battery replacement

The battery on my S type is well past its sell-by date as it were.

 

I have ordered a replacement.

 

Is there anything special I need to do before replacement please?

 

Is it worth connecting another battery in parallel to maintain memory modules, codes etc?

Hi Paul,

 

There is quite a detailed procedure in the Owners handbook, and also one of the members posted a very good and detailed procedure.

 

I have had to disconnect the battery on quite a few occasions when the park brake has been stuck. Resetting is quite easy, but connecting another battery in series is not  a bad idea.

 

You need to know the radio code before you do the job.
